SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING INTERN
Description of Position:
As a Social Media Marketing Intern, this person will help implement a marketing and communications strategy to further the reach of Malikah. The intern will hold a leadership role in a large professional organization, develop skills in teamwork and community organizing, and meet and network with empowered women from diverse backgrounds.
Time Commitment: October - December 2022. (10 hours a week, $15/hr, with the possibility to extend and PT conversion based on impact in the role)

Passion about women's and girl’s rights
Commitment to the eradication of gender-based and hate-based violence
Creativity
Research skills
Social media management skills
Graphic design skills (Canva)
Video editing skills (preferable)
Experience with TikTok, Instagram, blog writing
Cultivate strategic brand and influencer partnerships
Responsibilities include:
Assist in developing and executing Malikah social media calendar
Help manage Malikah social media accounts and enhance our social media presence
Assist in event organization, outreach, and marketing
Create and edit images, graphics, and infographics based on important news
Assist in shooting and/or editing videos
Serve as liaison with program beneficiaries
Find ways to tell and showcase the story of our impact
Preferred location: NYC
You will be working remotely, but there will be opportunities for in-person engagement for video shoots and creative marketing opportunities during events. Should be willing to get creative and think of bold new ways to partner and surface the Malikah brand.
Compensation: This is a paid part-time role. We will be happy to coordinate with your academic institution so you get academic credit or a stipend for this experience in lieu of payment which we would be grateful for!
