Malikah hosted New York City’s first ever ‘Astoria Halal Fest’ in Queens on June 8th. We took over Steinway Street and celebrated with halal street food, modest clothing vendors, Muslim-owned businesses, performances, and more! Over 5,000 people joined our pre-Eid market getting henna done with friends, grabbing halal bites with family, and enjoying the summer breeze. Thank you to all who joined! This event was a fundraiser to support the most vulnerable in our community and brought more programming to our safety center in NYC!

National Muslim Women’s Summit

Malikah hosted the 8th National Muslim Women’s Summit. This summit serves as one of the few nation-wide opportunities for Muslim women. Over 600 social justice minded women connected and discussed the current status of muslim women in America. Our keynote speaker was Rashida Talib.
