Malikah is a grassroots antiviolence and wellness nonprofit organizing against gender and hate based violence through self-defense training, healing justice, financial literacy, and community organizing for safety and power. We facilitate, train and organize through partnerships with CBOs, private sector, public schools and religious institutions. We also run a mutual aid and organizing hub in Queens, NY where we serve an immigrant working class community and recently arrived asylum seekers.
We host intensive weekend long bootcamps, community summits, recurring weekly sessions and one-off programs to scale access to our curriculum through organizers and trainers.
Our movement is committed to an community safety framework that amplifies the leadership of the most marginalized members of our communities.
Since 2010, our volunteer team has reached over 20,000 people in 34 cities across the globe. Interested in joining our work or learning more about how you can support our vision for a world free from violence? Email us at movement@malikah.org. We look forward to working with you and welcoming you to our Malikah sisterhood.
